Taylor County man accused of stealing from hotel guests

A Medford man is charged with 68 counts for allegedly stealing more than $65,000.

Taylor County District Attorney Karl Kelz says Nicholas Johnson was an employee at AmericInn Hotel in Medford.  Investigators say Johnson would take the numbers from the guests' credit cards.  He used that information to pay for things like bills and tuition.  He also purchased items online.  Investigators say it amounted to about $65,000.

Kelz says it happened during November and December of 2011.

Johnson is due for an initial appearance in Taylor County court Tuesday afternoon.
