The Wisconsin State Patrol and law enforcement agencies throughout the Wausau area are stepping up efforts to curb drunk driving through the Drive Sober or Get Pulled Over campaign.
Kronenwetter Police Chief Dan Joling says, "This is an effort to get people thinking about alcohol-related crashes. We see them happen again and again and again. Through this effort we hope to step up enforcement and education. To get people thinking about why they shouldn't drink if they plan to drive or drive if they plan to drink."
The nationwide law enforcement effort runs through Labor Day.
