UPDATE: Power restored to thousands in Wausau area
WAUSAU (WAOW) -
Wisconsin Public Service reports that power has been restored to thousands in the Wausau Area.
WPS Community Relations leader Kelly Zagrzebski tells Newsline 9 that customers started reporting outages around 3:15 a.m. Tuesday in the Rothschild area.
As crews were working on the equipment to restore power, another piece of equipment knocked out power to several hundred other customers affecting portions of Weston, Rothschild, Schofield and Eastern Wausau.
In total, WPS reports that 3,812 customers were without power.
Zagrzebski says that crews restored power by 7:15 a.m.
