Wausau East was large part of two sports on Thursday.  The Lumberjacks hosted a volleyball quadrangular.  East beat West De Pere in its opening match, 2-1, but would lose the next two matches to Newman Catholic and Eau Claire North. The Huskies went 3-0 in the quad, with the Cardinals second at 2-1, and East third at 1-2. 

The Wausau East boys soccer team hosted DC Everest, winning 3-2.  The Evergreens' Mitch Depke scored first on a free kick that was stopped by East's Bryce Taylor, but he couldn't hold on and the ball squirted through for a 1-0 Everest lead.  But East would comeback for the win.
