Wausau Transit Center re-opens

The Jefferson Street bus station has finally re-opened.

The Transit Center, located in downtown Wausau, had to move to a temporary location in June due to road construction.

Officials say that caused bus routes and schedules to change.

But now that construction has ended, leaders say things are back to normal.

"Certainly it is a step up from our temporary facility on River Drive," Transit Director Greg Seubert said. "So, I think our employees and our users, our customers will get a new appreciation for our regular facility."

The bus has seven routes throughout the city of Wausau. Those run at 30-minute intervals.
