UPDATE: Two men charged as a result of shots fired

According to the Adams Police Department, two men are being charged as a result of shots fired in Adams County on Sunday.

James Scott age 38 of Adams is being charged with felon in possession of a firearm and first degree reckless endangerment. Also being charged with connection to this case is Ronnie Penelton age 23 of Friendship. Penelton is being charged with first degree reckless endangerment.

Both men are being held in the Adams County Jail on $10,000 cash bonds and will appear in court on September 24th.

Officers are investigating gunshot reports in the City of Adams.
 
The Adams Police Department and Adams County Sheriff's Office responded to the report Sunday night.

According to the Adams Police Department, officers responded to State Street Apartments near the intersections of State and Juneau Streets. Police arrested two men. They are currently at the Adams County Jail awaiting formal charges.

No one was injured. Adams Police say it appears to be an isolated incident.
