WI county supervisor busted in prostitution sting

A La Crosse County supervisor is among five men arrested in a prostitution sting.

Police say the five answered an online ad and showed up Monday at a La Crosse motel, where they agreed to exchange money for sex. County Supervisor Bill Brockmiller and the others were arrested on suspicion of soliciting prostitution. All were freed after posting $200 bonds.

Brockmiller tells the La Crosse Tribune he takes full responsibility for his actions and expressed "express extreme sorrow and disappointment" in himself.

Brockmiller says he's dealing with "extreme personal baggage," including the recent deaths of both parents, but he says there's no excuse for his behavior.

The 48-year-old is also president of the Western Wisconsin AFL-CIO. He says he has not made any decision on his leadership positions.
