Tuesday Sports Report 8-28-12


The Hatchets taking part in the D.C. Everest quadrangular facing Mosinee in the opener
game one.  Free ball for the Hatchets and they take advantage,  Anna Nyberg goes right over the block, Tomahawk up early.  Tomahawk wins 2-0, the Hatchets finish 3-0 on the day.
The host Evergreens taking on Clintonville. In game one, Katrina Raskie back sets Peyton Stefan and she goes cross court for the kill. Everest up 9. They finish 2-1 on the day.
Pittsville Panthers head to the nest of the Cardinals. Newman up a game, Shaefer Rupar smashes it down, aNd the girls take the 13-4 lead. Newman would win 3-1.
In the Mosinee cross country classic at Nine Mile, Edgar's Jessi Krause wins the girls race in 16 minutes, 50 seconds. Colby-Abby wins the team title, Edgar is second.  On the boy's side, Devin Savoula from Northland Pines takes first in a time of 17 minutes, 25 seconds.
Medford's Tyler Schumacher is second to help lead the raiders to the boys' team title.
