The volunteer efforts in the Gulf Coast continue and some of those volunteers are from right here in Wisconsin.
We talked with three of those volunteers before Isaac hit and they're still down there working.
Monday, the leader of Wisconsin's volunteers said their efforts are going well.
About 660 people are staying in 18 Red Cross shelters across Louisiana and Mississippi.
Leaders said many of the workers are staying busy as they use their skills to help victims of the storm.
Three of the workers, Laurel Cooper of Merrill, Nancy Uerling of Gleason and Carol Miller of Rhinelander are still working hard.
"She had mentioned that she had 73 client touches, meaning that she was servicing 73 clients at that moment, and she really was feeling that her services were being put to good use," said Lora Hainey.
Leaders said a total of 3,000 volunteers are in the Gulf using their skills to help victims recover. They also said about 193,000 meals have been provided to the victims of the storm.
