Packers fans are known for their dedication. A Minneapolis couple is showing how much they love the team by biking to the season opener in Green Bay.
They started their trek in Minneapolis on Labor Day. And they're averaging about 50 miles a day. Today, they pedaled into the Wausau area.
Robin is a Packers shareholder. She and her husband, Rick, have always wanted to ride their bikes to a game.
Robin Martinek/Minneapolis: "We drive in the car a lot and don't just see or pay attention to all the little stuff."
They figure the trip is about 277 miles. And they're raising money along the way.
For every mile they ride, they're donating a dollar to a program called Moms and Neighbors. They say others have pledged money. Moms and Neighbors works through schools and community organizations to help families in need. The couple says the group creates a care package that may consist of food, clothing, auto repair or other needs. The gifts are made anonymously with 100% of the money going to the cause.
They plan to arrive at Lambeau Field by noon Sunday, giving them a few hours to tailgate before the 3:25pm game against the 49ers.
