Birds in Art exhibit kicks off at Woodson Art Museum

Hundreds of people gathered at the Woodson Art Museum in Wausau, to watch some birds.

The 37th annual Birds in Art event kicked off today, for a private exhibit. Hundreds of paintings, sculptures and carvings are on display.

Organizers say this is the best place to see some good art.

"You can get side by side birds that you would not see in the natural world, so really you can bring your binoculars and life list and have a great time in our galleries," said Kathy Foley, Woodson Art Museum Director.

Organizers say the exhibit will be open to the public this weekend, starting at 9 Saturday morning.

It's all part of Wausau's "Artageous Weekend."
