9-7-12 Sports Express

            Pittsville in Edgar, hoping to hand Edgar its first Marawood loss in almost five years.  Edgar wins 23-6.

            The Tigers were shutout by Regis 50-0 last week, they face Marathon, who's 2-0 in conference play.  Drew Spaeth throws it wide to Eli Temanson, he finds some space and utilizes it for 39 yards and he's in the end zone, Tigers take a 28-14 lead, and go on to win by that count.

            Merrill and Mosinee both are 1-0 in league play, and this could go a long way in determining the great northern title. After ending the 1st tied at 6, the home team would pull ahead 21-12.

            Chequamegon still looking for its first win of the season facing fall creek. They would continue that search into week 4. Fall Creek wins 36-13

            Stevens Point already halfway to its win total from all of last season, facing unbeaten Menasha. SPASH would pull off the win 28-21.

            Wausau West taking on Appleton East, after leading 18-6, the Warriors would drop the game 19-18.

            Shiocton and Amherst tied for the CWC 8 title last year. Both are back atop the standings this year. Amherst shuts out Shiocton 20-0.

            Sticking with the CWC, Almond-Bancroft at Wild Rose, Wildcats win 8-6.

            Port Edwards looking to stay unbeaten in conference play against Bowler-Gresham. After leading 8-6, Port Edwards remains undefeated with a 28-14 victory. 

            The last two Cloverwood champs, Athens and Gilman looking to stay unbeaten, the game was as close as one point, but Athens would win by the end of the 4th, 28-6.

            Newman looking to hold off Mcdonell who's looking for its first win of the season, and they came as close as one point. They'll continue that search. Newman wins 21-20

            Abbotsford hasn't beaten assumption since 2008, and looks like they finally have the roster to do it. Abbotsford wins 20-7

            Defending division s7 champs Greenwood-Granton on the right path to the same title sitting undefeated so far, but that would end in week 3. Loyal wins 13-6

                        Owen-Withee coming off a low scoring loss to Loyal, looking for more this week against Thorp, and they would get more than they bargained for. Owen-Withee shuts out Thorp 28-0.
