Two people remain hospitalized, after a house fire near Stratford. Firefighters were called to the home on Sunday night at around 7.
Marathon County Sheriff's Department investigators say a woman was canning food in the basement of the home, when fire broke out. Lt. Dale Wisnewski says the woman tried to put out the fire and suffered burns and injuries from smoke inhalation.
A spokesperson at Ministry Saint Joseph's Hospital in Marshfield says the woman is in critical condition and a man in fair condition.
Investigators say the basement of the home is damaged.
