It was a rough start for Rhinelander students because of a problem with the bus system. But now school officials say things have gotten better.
A new bus system was put in place this school year. It was designed to save money. But buses transporting elementary school students were delayed, and some of the students even ended up on the wrong route.
Now, officials say the system has been improved. One improvement includes eliminating most bus transfers for students in pre-k through third grade so that they all ride on the same buses.
Newsline 9 contacted Bowen's Bus Service but they declined an on camera interview. They did tell us they're working closely with the school district to make sure students get home safely and on time.
