Gov. Scott Walker made a stop at a Wausau school today, to celebrate the foundation of our country.
The Governor celebrated the adoption of the U.S. Constitution with about 50 students at South Mountain Elementary School.
September 17th marks the 225th anniversary for the founding document. The Governor says this is the best way to teach kids about an important piece of history.
"What better way to talk about it than to be at schools across the state, particularly we've got 4th and 5th graders just the early stages of studying American history, in fact for a lot of parents their kids come home refreshing them in their own mind about American history," said Gov. Walker.
Walker will continue to tour more schools around the state next week.
