UPDATE: Name of pedestrian killed in Lincoln Co. crash released

TOMAHAWK (WAOW) -

According to the Lincoln Co. Sheriff's Department, a 52-year-old man was struck by a car Sunday around 12:57 a.m.

Tomahawk EMS and Fire responded to the scene and took Robert Zempel to Sacred Heart Hospital in Tomahawk where he was pronounced dead.

Authorities say the crash happened at the intersection of County Road S and South Park Drive in Tomahawk after the man walked out onto the road.

The Wisconsin State Patrol is reconstructing the scene as they continue to investigate the crash.
