ONEIDA COUNTY (WAOW) -
According to the Oneida Co. Sheriff's Department, 56-year-old Richard Quade of Mosinee died in a motorcycle crash in the Town of Crescent.
Authorities say the crash happened on Saturday at 11:03 a.m. near the intersection of Highway 8 and Crescent Road. Investigators say Quade was westbound on Highway 8 when he reached down with his left arm toward his toward his lower leg.
The motorcycle then crossed the center line and entered the ditch before hitting a stop sign. Police say Quade was thrown from the motorcycle. He was not wearing a helmet.
They say was airlifted to Aspirus Hospital in Wausau where he later died as a result of injuries from the crash.
The Oneida Co. Sheriff's Office and Oneida Co. Medical Examiner's Office are investigating.
