Thousands of customers lost power in central Wisconsin Wednesday evening after storms blew through the area.
According to Wisconsin Public Service power has been restored to most customers. About 40 customers are still without power Thursday afternoon. People lost power in Antigo, Eagle River, Merrill, Minocqua, Rhinelander, Tomahawk, Wabeno, and Wausaukee.
Newsline 9 also received reports of wind damage in the Northwoods. Trees were knocked down, and there were reports of multiple lightning strikes.
