UPDATE - Plea hearing set for driver charged in bicyclist's death

UPDATE - A plea hearing is set for the driver charged in the death of a bicyclist.

Tracy Kruzicki is charged with knowingly operating a motor vehicle while suspended.  Investigators say Kruzicki hit and killed 44 year old Tammy Gass while she was riding on County Road KK near Mosinee in May.

The plea hearing is scheduled for December 21, 2012.

The driver accused of hitting and killing a bicyclist in Marathon County will face a trial.

Investigators say Tracy Kruzicki hit and killed 44-year-old Tammy Gass while she was riding on County Road KK near Mosinee in May.

Kruzicki was charged with knowingly operating a motor vehicle while suspended that resulted in a death. He waived his preliminary hearing Thursday.

If convicted, Kruzicki could face six years in prison and a fine of up to $10,000.

Newsline 9 tried to talk with both lawyers, but they declined to comment.

Gass' husband also died riding his bike on the same stretch of road in 2008.
