The first official day of fall brought people to pumpkin patches across Northcentral Wisconsin.
Dozens joined in on the fun at Wilke's Extra Sweet Acres in Wausau.
The farm features a hay ride and corn maze every autumn.
Children and adults alike were picking their perfect pumpkins, some for the first time.
"It's just beautiful, I've never seen anything like that before, I've never seen so many pumpkins," said Linda Hinz.
People at the patch said Saturday was just the first step in their fall festivities.
The next step: carving their pumpkins.
