September 11, the Tomahawk volleyball team won its 27th straight Great Northern match, setting a new conference record. But the streak didn't last much longer. Four days later, Rhinelander upended the Hatchets, handing them their first conference loss since 2010.

Tuesday night, Tomahawk got revenge, as the Hatchets went to Rhinelander and handed the Hodags a 3-0 loss.

Anna Nyberg finished with 19 kills for Tomahawk, while Becca Doughty had 32 assists, four blocks and four aces.

At Nine Mile Forest, Medford's Tyler Schumacher won the boys' title by 38 seconds to lead the Raiders to the boys' team title.

On the girls' side, Three Lakes' Natalie Miller won the individual title, while Colby-Abbotsford edged out Edgar to win the team title.
