Administrator Todd Kuckkahn said Wednesday that no circumstances surrounding the death of Joey Miller were being released other than he died in school. St. Peter's is a Roman Catholic school. "We are shocked and saddened," Kuckkahn said. MERRILL (WAOW) -
After months of debate, the city of Merrill has chosen a location for its new fire station.
The city council voted 7-1 to build the new station on a plot of land across from the post office. That land was once home to Brickner's Car Dealership.
The city purchased the property for $250,000. Before construction on a new fire station can begin, an environmental study will take place.
Officials say if all goes well, they'll start building in the spring.
