The University of Wisconsin Badgers open Big Ten play against Nebraska Saturday night.
Playing in Lincoln will be unlike anything freshman quarterback Joel Stave ever experienced. Stave was on the travel squad last season so he did witness the atmospheres at Michigan State and Ohio State but Saturday night he'll actually be on the field making his second career start. He'll rely on last year's experiences on the road to help him know what to expect.
Senior running back Montee Ball has been cleared to play. Ball left last Saturday's game against UTEP with a head injury.
According to the AP Poll, the 3-1 Cornhuskers are ranked 22 while the 3-1 Badgers are not ranked.
Meanwhile the Football Bowl Subdivision Coaches' Top 25 Poll ranks Nebraska at 20 and Wisconsin at 23.
The Badgers hosted Nebraska last year in their Big Ten opener beating them 48-17.
You can watch the game on WAOW. Kick off is scheduled for 7:00 p.m. Newsline 9 will air a pregame special at 6:30 p.m. after the news.
