MILWAUKEE (WAOW) - Ministry Health Care says it is eliminating about 2 percent of its workforce due to declining business and a reduction in Medicare payments because of federal budget cuts forced by the so-called sequestration.

WESTON (WAOW) -

More beds are available for heart patients at a Weston hospital.

Ministry Saint Clare's Hospital has added 24 beds for cardiac and pulmonary care. It's part of a $5 million expansion.

Hospital leaders say it could lead to the hiring of 60 additional staff members.

"This is a sign of growth," said Mary Krueger, president of Ministry Saint Clare's. "Right now you don't see a lot of growth, you see stabilization and shrinkage. So for us, this is growing."

Ministry has 99 inpatient and 16 outpatient beds.
