Obama, Baldwin still lead in Wisconsin races

Posted:

A new poll shows President Barack Obama with an 11-point lead over Republican Mitt Romney in Wisconsin.

The Marquette University Law School poll shows President Obama with 53 percent, compared to Romney's 42 percent.

A poll released last month showed Obama leading 54 to 40 percent, so this most recent poll shows the race growing a little bit closer.

The poll also shows Wisconsin's race for U.S. Senate is tightening. It shows Democrat Tammy Baldwin with a narrow four point lead over Republican Tommy Thompson. Baldwin's lead is down from nine points two weeks ago.

Almost 900 people were questioned for these polls. They have a margin of error around three percent.
