Boxelder invasion

We've been hearing from viewers about a problem that bugs them. Actually, literally bugs.

They're called Boxelder Bugs and this year they've doubled in numbers. Experts say that's because of the warm weather we've had throughout the year.

They're commonly found on buildings, like your home, during the fall and early spring. And while they can be annoying, experts say the bugs are harmless.

"They like to eat on vegetation, so they won't harm anything around you. They're just a nuisance. And the reason why we're seeing them right now is because they're looking for a warm place to spend the winter," Agriculture agent Dan Marzu said.

He says the best way to get rid of them is to make sure your windows and doors are completely sealed. That way there's no way for them to get inside your home and set up camp.
