An 'embarrassed' Purdue gets ready for Badgers

WEST LAFAYETTE, Ind. (AP) -- Purdue coach Danny Hope said his team was embarrassed by Saturday's 44-13 home loss to Michigan.

Denard Robinson ran for 235 yards for the Wolverines, who jumped out to a 28-3 lead in the first half. Even coming off such a poor performance, Hope believes the Boilermakers are mentally tough and will be ready for Saturday's homecoming game against Wisconsin.

The Boilermakers had become a trendy pick to win the Leaders Division and possibly go to the Rose Bowl before falling apart against Michigan.

Hope said Caleb TerBush remains Purdue's starting quarterback, despite his occasional struggles. Robert Marve, the No. 2 quarterback, responded well in his first action since re-injuring his left ACL against Notre Dame a month ago. Hope said he will feel more comfortable playing Marve this week.
