Wausau pipeline leaked one million gallons of water a day

Water Works officials say a pipeline on Wausau's west side has been leaking about a million gallons of water a day.

And that has been going on for one year.

Officials tell us they knew something was wrong when they were losing 27 percent of the water going out.

That's when they called for a study and confirmed the problem.

Water Works officials say they're working on getting the pipeline fixed as soon as next Friday.

In the meantime, officials say the pipeline has been shut off, and customers shouldn't expect to notice any changes.
