Starting out at number five: Level 1 postseason football, Gilman visiting Owen-Withee. A huge pass to Dean Klimeck a 73-yard touchdown play. The Pirates go up by four, but it's not enough. Owen-Withee advances 20-16.
Onto number four: SPASH taking on Chippewa Falls, set point for SPASH Danielle Brzezinski over to Angela Lang. She gets the tip to fall. SPASH wins in four sets. It's Merrill and SPASH on Thursday in the Sectional Semifinal.
Hitting up number three: Back to the gridiron. The Edgar Wildcats with the home field advantage. Taking on eight seeded Laona-Wabeno. The Wildcats are already up 35-0 in the second quarter when Connor Handrick scores from 19 yards out to increase the Edgar lead they were far from done. Edgar wins by shutout 56-0.
To the deuce: Wausau East going up north to take on Merrill and this match was all Bluejays. Particularly this girl Renee Sladek comes up with the big block. Merrill up by seven. Merrill sweeps Wausau East to end their season.
And finally at number one. SPASH hosting Green Bay Preble in a five versus four matchup in division one. Eric Zelhofer says, "this one's mine". He scrambles but takes it for himself, he gets into the endzone. SPASH up by 7.
But this game wouldn't end there, SPASH takes this one in four overtimes 43-35.
