A steady stream of voters filed into Wausau City Hall to cast their ballots Monday. Early in-person voting is now open in Wisconsin. The pre-election day balloting will continue through Friday, November 2.
Election officials say they think there will be high interest in the early vote.
George Hlad of Wausau agrees, "I thought why not, I wanted to have my voice heard, so I took advantage of it."
While you can cast your ballot early, it will not be tabulated until election day.
Early in-person voting runs through Nov. 2. The general election is Nov. 6. Chcck with your local municipality for office hours.
Election officials remind voters to be prepared and registered. Voter registration is required for new voters, or if a person has changed their name and address. For more information on how and what to do check out the online registration at https://myvote.wi.gov.
