Lincoln Co bus driver pleads not guilty

Posted:

The Lincoln County bus driver accused of sending inappropriate picture and text messages to an 11-year-old child pleaded not guilty Friday to the charges against him.

52- year old Bobb Bergman of Gleason, appeared in court on Friday. Bergman waived his right to a preliminary hearing and pleaded not guilty to charges of causing a child under 13 to view a sex act, causing mental harm to a child, exposing a child to harmful material and stalking.

Back in April Bergman was arrested before his bus route. The sheriff's department says an 11-year old Merrill student told his parents he received several unwanted text messages and nude pictures from Bergman.

Bergman faces 32 years in prison and $70,000 in fines if convicted on all felony counts.

A pretrial conference has been scheduled for November 8th.
