Library starts construction on aquarium

The Marathon County Public Library will soon be home to a new aquarium.

Monday morning, crews started construction on the wall that will hold the 650 gallon tank.

The aquarium will feature fish and a coral reef and employees told us it will be a learning tool they can put to good use.

"This is yet another way that we can show kids and adults about biosystems, a coral reef and you know, just having something of this scale in a town this size is just, is huge," said Amy Ryan.

Officials tell us the aquarium, which will cost about $35,000 to build, was made possible completely through donations.
