David DeGuzman

David DeGuzman joined the Newsline 9 Sports team in October 2012 as a multimedia journalist and sports anchor.

This past May, he graduated from the S.I. Newhouse School of Public Communications at Syracuse University with a degree in Broadcast and Digital Journalism. At Syracuse, he served as a reporter, producer, anchor and director for On The Bench, a weekly sports highlights show that covered every SU sports team. David was a beat reporter for numerous teams, including softball, women's basketball, and men's lacrosse. He recently covered the NCAA Division I men's basketball tournament, including the Sweet 16 game in Boston between Wisconsin and Syracuse.

David loves the Olympic Games and recently interned for NBC at the Summer Olympics in London. He worked at the International Broadcast Centre, helping to produce stories on several athletes and British culture.

In his spare time, David likes to go out on a run or play tennis. He also enjoys cooking and listening to country music.

David looks forward to exploring Central Wisconsin and covering the area's best athletes, so don't be afraid to send him any story ideas you might have!
