It's level 2 of the high school football playoffs and already there have been some intense upsets and messy battles. The best schools in the state facing off with all aiming for that state championship.

SPASH needed four overtimes last week to extend its season. The Panthers took on Appleton North, the top seed in division one. It was a close one and SPASH had the lead at halftime, 14-7 but an interception, a field goal and another interception in the third quarter ended the Panthers' season as Appleton North wins 17-14.
Top seeded Marshfield hosted Holmen. Marshfield wins it easily, 42 to 14 and will host La Crosse Logan next week in level three.
Waupaca only allowed three points in last week's level one win as the top seed in division. They took on Rice Lake. Waupaca jumped out to an early lead and went on to win this one 38-8. They will take on the winner of tomorrow's match up between Medford and Osceola...
Greenwood/Granton hosted top seeded Hilbert. Hilbert led 12-0 at halftime and would end G2's season with a 26-14 win. Awaiting Hilbert is either Owen-Withee or Suring. Those two play Saturday.
Unity took down top-seed Cameron last week but couldn't be giant killers this week as they lose to Colby by a large margin, 51-6. Colby faces the winner of Saturday's contest between Elk Mound and Prescott.
Rosholt and Pacelli were both coming off of blowout wins in level one. But the game would get away from Pacelli, losing 22-14 to Rosholt.
