A new poll shows President Barack Obama has extended his lead in Wisconsin less than a week before the presidential race.
Two weeks ago, the president and Mitt Romney were in a dead heat in this state, according to a Marquette Law School poll. Now, it's a different story.
The latest Marquette poll released Wednesday shows President Obama leading Romney among likely voters, 51 to 43 percent, in Wisconsin. Five percent were undecided or wouldn't say who they support.
The margin of error is +/- 2.8%.
Experts say voter turnout will be critical, though, since the poll shows a tighter race among likely voters who also follow politics closely. In that case, Obama leads Romney by just two points, 48 to 46 percent.
