Politics drives little girl to tears

If the campaign season has gotten a big long for you, you're not alone. A four-year-old Colorado girl is so tired of hearing about the presidential election it drove her to tears.

Abigael Evans and her mother were listening to NPR Tuesday on the way to the grocery store when she the girl started tearing up.

Here's what she said when her mother asked why she was crying.
Abigael: "Just because I'm tired of Bronco Bamma and Mitt Romney"
Mom: "That's why you're crying?"
(Abigael nods, crying)
Mom: " Awww . I will be over soon, Abby...okay?"
(Abigael nods)
Mom: "The election will be over soon, okay?"
Abigael: (crying) "Okay."
Mom: " Awww.. ."

NPR wrote an apology note to Abigael entitled, "Dear Little Girl: Sorry We Made You Cry About 'Bronco Bamma' And Mitt Romney." The note went on to say, "We must confess, the campaign's gone on long enough for us, too. Let's just keep telling ourselves, 'Only a few more days, only a few more days, only a few more days.'" NPR also sent her an NPR pin to wear to smooth things over.
