WAUSAU (WAOW) -
Early voting is now over in Wisconsin. The polls closed at 5 p.m. on Friday.
The Government Accountability Board says so far around 5,300 people voted early in the state. Friday alone, more than 500 voters showed up to Wausau City Hall to cast their vote. The Wausau City Clerk says that was a record number of people.
"Absolutely we've had 300 to 400 a day, today just smoked it, we had a lot of people come through," said Wausau City Clerk Toni Rayala.
Voters will head to the polls for the general election on November 6th.
