Administrator Todd Kuckkahn said Wednesday that no circumstances surrounding the death of Joey Miller were being released other than he died in school. St. Peter's is a Roman Catholic school. "We are shocked and saddened," Kuckkahn said. Friday, November 9, the season of giving kicks off in many communities. The Salvation Army's familiar red kettles and bell ringers will begin their fundraising efforts.
In Stevens Point, organizers spent the day gathering kettles and bells that the volunteers will use this holiday season. The Director of Operations, Bob Quam said, "The Red Kettle campaign is very important when it comes to funding for our shelter and programs. Also, it draws attention and awareness to what we do in the community. Even if people don't want to give, it spreads joy during the holiday season."
Salvation Army's here at home and across the country are in need of volunteers to ring bells.
