WAUSAU (WAOW) -
A man wanted by police on a weapons violation has been taken into custody.
Julian Alvarez, 31, had his initial appearance Tuesday in Marathon County court. Wausau police had been searching for Alvarez who was wanted on a weapons violation. Cash bond was set at $5,000 on those charges, according to online court records.
Now, online court records show Alvarez faces new charges including second degree sexual assault, false imprisonment, battery, and strangulation and suffocation. In all, Alvarez faces five felony and two misdemeanor counts.
His next court hearing is scheduled for November 28. His cash bond on the new charges has been set at $20,000.
