Fire officials say a mobile home is a total loss after a blaze in Portage County Monday morning.
According to Rosholt Fire Chief Chris Kluck, firefighters responded to the fire on Birch Road, near the intersection of Woodland Road, in the Township of Sharon at 7:45 a.m.
"When we arrived on scene, it's been evident the structure had been burning for some time as it was nearly down to the framing of the trailer already," Kluck says.
Kluck says the nearby garage and motor home sustained some external heat damage, but the interiors of both structures are unharmed.
No one was home at the time of the fire.
Kluck says a fire investigation team will be on scene later Monday to determine the cause.
Fire fighters are on the scene of a house fire in the Township of Sharon.
They were called to a trailer fire near the intersection of Woodland Road and Birch Road around 7:45 a.m. Monday. The Rosholt fire department says the trailer is a total loss. A garage was also damaged from smoke.
Fire fighters say nobody was inside the trailer at the time.
Portage County investigators will be on scene later Monday.
