We have an update on the Wisconsin Rapids man accused of cutting off a puppy's ears with a razor.

Nong Vang appeared in Wood County Court on Wednesday, but he will have to wait to find out if there is enough evidence for a trial.

Wednesday's hearing was postponed until December because of procedural issues.

He was investigated by police for animal mistreatment when he was a juvenile.

When he turned 18, Vang was charged with felony mistreatment of animals.

Vang's next court date is set for December 13.
