Price Co. woman chosen to represent Jefferson Awards winners

WAUSAU (WAOW) -

A Price County woman has been chosen to represent our area in Washington D.C for the Jefferson Awards.

79-year-old Connie Wang of Price County was honored at the Jefferson Awards banquet in Wausau this evening. She's a volunteer at the Prentice Fire Department. Thursday, she was recognized for her motivation to help sick and injured people.

"Exciting, unbelievable, a dream just a dream," said Wang.

Newsline 9 partner's with Marshfield Clinic for this project. Wang will now go on to the national competition in Washington D.C.
