Handling venison in warm weather

The Wisconsin Department of Agriculture wants to warn hunters about handling venison, with warmer weather expected this weekend.

Experts say temperatures above 40 degrees could be cause for concern, when it comes to food safety.

Health officials say harmful bacteria can grow quickly, so they want to make sure hunters field dress their deer immediately, and refrigerate if possible.
