Black Friday turns into Black Thursday

Thanksgiving is no longer just about the traditional family dinner. Now, it's also about shopping.

In Houston the Velezquez family has camped out since Sunday at Best Buy.

That's what it took to get the first spot in line, for deals that begin at Midnight.

"It's going to be Christmas gifts," Thomas Velezquez said. "I'll be saving about 13 hundred dollars on everything."

In Orlando bargain hunters lined up for an early start to shopping at K-Mart which opened its doors at 6 a.m. across the nation. They offered morning deals like  a 32 inch plasma TV for less than $200.

"I went to Sam's and I got my son a basketball hoop for $246 and today I found it here for $178," one black Friday shopper said.

Sports Authority was open at 8 a.m. and many were willing to trade thanksgiving turkey, for a chance at those limited door buster deals.

"Sometimes they only have one of an item, like the 9 inch LCD TV, I got it," Patty Medell said.

Toys R US, Wal-Mart and Sears all open tonight at 8 p.m. Target opens an hour later at 9 p.m.

Here in Wausau, a handful of people camped out front of Best Buy to try to score the hottest deals as soon as the doors open.
