RIB MOUNTAIN (WAOW) -
Shoppers stood in line for hours at the Best Buy in Rib Mountain and the line just kept getting longer.
Jake Dinkle and his friends braved the cold, to get their hands on the hottest merchandise.
Dinkle said they got in line at four o'clock Thanksgiving Day.
"Keep jogging, kind of scream a lot," said Dinkle.
For Dinkle, his prize: a deal on a laptop.
He said the excitement and rush is a new experience.
"This is the first time, I've ever done something like this," said Dinkle.
As soon as the doors opened, the race was on.
Some experienced shoppers came prepared, with maps and print ads in hand, heading straight for the big ticket items.
"The Toshiba TV, and then the Blu-Ray player and some other items," said Brandon Graefe.
The deals were hard to miss as shoppers saw major discounts on items like TVs, laptops and mobile phones.
"My dad really wants the Toshiba TV, so I'm going to go pick it up for him," said Michael Cooper.
This season, workers at Best Buy said they were ready to let the dedicated shoppers come through the doors.
"It's a tradition, you know, it's a tradition for them to be the first ones in line," said Denise Zoltowski.
A tradition that had a line all the way to the back of the parking lot.
