There was a feast of local high school basketball games in the area.

At the Wausau East Invitational, Wausau West defeated Pacelli, 52-48 while the home Lumberjacks defeated Newman Catholic, 66-56.

And down in Wisconsin Rapids at the Cranberry Classic, Nekoosa won a double overtime thriller, 69-63.

In girls' basketball, Wausau West defeated Antigo, 51-40, at the "Blow the Whistle on Cancer" event at D.C. Everest.

And in girls' ice hockey, the Central Wisconsin Storm dominated Bay Area Ice Bears, 6-2, to win the Gobbler Cup in Mosinee.
