"Puny Buck" contest winner not so puny

WESTON (WAOW) -

D.C. Everest High School held its annual "Puny Buck" contest Monday afternoon.

It's a long-running tradition at the high school. The teacher or faculty member who shoots the smallest buck wins. Whoever bags the biggest, loses.

But there's a twist this year. Only one person entered, so the winner was also the loser. And it's not a puny buck!

Health teacher Mike Plaza shot an 11-point buck. It's reportedly the largest in the 36-year history of the "Puny Buck" contest.
