Wisconsin Governor Scott Walker appointed a Wausau woman to the Women's Council Board.
Karen Katz is the Marketing Director at EO Johnson Office Technologies in Wausau. Patty Cadorin was also appointed to the board. She's the VP and Director of the Office of the CEO for BMO Harris Bank in Milwaukee.
According to a press release by the governor's office, Katz was a 2012 finalist for the Wausau Chamber of Commerce's Athena Award recognizing those who make a difference in the advancement of women in leadership and professional roles. Ms. Katz is actively engaged in community work, including United Way of Marathon County, LIFE in Marathon County, Healthy Marathon County, and the Wausau Lyric Choir.
The Women's Council promotes initiatives that emphasizes women's programs. The council is governed by a 15 member board appointed by the governor and other lawmakers.
