UPDATE: Tomahawk man hurt after accidentally shooting himself

Lincoln County investigators say a man taken to the hospital after a hunting incident says he accidentally shot himself.

It happened Monday afternoon near the town of Somo. Sheriff’s investigators say Charles Lawn, 66 of Tomahawk, told them he was hunting rabbits with his friend when he accidentally shot himself in the neck.

The Lincoln County Sheriff’s Department and the Department of Natural Resources say the matter is still being investigated. No criminal charges are being sought at this time.
