Nativity lighting kicks off in Stevens Point

It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas in Stevens Point. The 11th annual nativity lighting kicked off Tuesday night.

The Knights of Columbus hosted the event in front of their clubhouse.

Dozens showed up to view the lighting and sing Christmas carols. Organizers say it's an event they look forward to.

"We have it in front of our clubhouse here which is kind of the gateway to the west side of the city, so when people come in to Stevens Point they'll notice it and hopefully give them a sense of the holiday season," said organizer Perry Pazdernik.

Organizers say baby Jesus won't make an appearance until Christmas Eve.
